Traditional Irish Music Session Tunes

This is an assembly of YouTube videos of traditional Irish tunes that are on the official 'must know' list for sessions. I have gathered them together here so I can access them easily when I want to practise a new tune. YOu might want to save this page to your favourites so you can come back to it again.

This site also happens to be strongly biased towards the Dempsey's bar official tune list. Dempsey's Bar is located at 61 Second Ave in Manhattan, New York, between Third and Fourth Streets. The session at Dempsey's occurs every Tuesday at 8:00 PM. For more information, visit the official site at: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/dempseysnyc/

OK. That's enough of a plug! On with the music...

Where I had a choice of videos, I have included more than one. It's always interesting to hear a tune being interpreted differently by different players. I have also tended to prefer fiddle playing where I could, because that's the instrument I'm learning. However there's plenty here for all trad music players to enjoy.
